The Covenant Divorce Recovery Leader’s Handbook and accompanying workbook for students are viable tools that help Christians going through the turmoil of divorce. The curriculum treats divorce like a death without a funeral that forces a person to come to grips with the denial, anger and guilt that modern divorce dishes out. We also take a hard look at Old Testament and New Testament divorce and attempt to develop a theology that focuses on the forgiveness of sin. The book is an epiphany for many and a valuable tool in righting one’s relationships with God and others. Wade Powers began writing poetry and short stories in the third grade and his love for the written word continued into retirement. A graduate of Cal State University Bakersfield and a retired federal employee, Wade now has turned to writing full-time. After writing two novels and a book of poetry, he decided to create a handbook and curriculum aimed at starting divorce support groups for Christians. Along with his wife, Annie, they have ministered to hundreds of divorced Christians in various evangelical churches. The Covenant Divorce Recovery Leader’s Handbook and accompanying workbook are tools which enable groups to start up quickly and at minimum expense. Wade and Annie live in Port Angeles, Washington with their two very spoiled toy poodles named Kiki and Jett. The couple have five adult children. Wade’s website is www.yellowriter.com
